Writing is about empathy.
In other words, you need to pass on your feelings to others.
There are SO many ways to fail at doing this.
I know of one way to avoid it.
Be around people. And care about them. Not just the observation of others, but allow yourself to empathize.
Or at least try to. If you’ve tried, and the person is well and truly an asshole, let yourself be disgusted. That’s interacting too.
But get out there and experience people, enjoy people.
Fuck, live and you become a better writer. When you lock yourself in your room for however long you write every day, that is the thing you draw on most.
